How many others are suffering because apple wants to send out their phones for a week?!!

Is there Anyone else’s phone (mine is a 13 pro max) who keeps showing an error message of unknown camera/ not genuine -despite never having it serviced anywhere other than apple or never at all? They want me to go without my phone for a week so they can troubleshoot!!! A bit ridiculous no?

First, that message also indicates “Isn't functioning as expected“ so not necessarily that it has ever been serviced. Just indicating a hardware issue. About genuine iPhone cameras - Apple Support


As for the repair timeframe the warranty offers multiple options, dependent on the region. From in store to mail in. If you had purchased AppleCare+ there is Express replacement where they send a replacement first. If you do an Apple Store Genius Bar appointment, some can offer a loaner phone, but in reality it is your responsibility to have a backup.

Based on Personal Experience:

During COVID, I had to send in my device 11 times. It took 5-6 days (not even a week). Now that Apple Stores are open, I'm sure it wouldn't even take a week, being send-in service is not as high up there in volume as it was during COVID.

How many others are suffering because apple wants to send out their phones for a week?!!
