AppStore battery drain - Weekends
Hi - I have raised this before and seen it raised many times. I really have no idea what it could be as I have done everything I can (including reaching out to apple who provided Level (or Tier?) 2 support). When I went back to the support team, it only offers to repair the phone. Useless.
I did a factory reset a while back which helped massively. Now back to same old story of not using my phone and the appstore hammering my battery. It seems way worse on weekends for some reason, despite my usage pattern not being that different. Phone will be warm and just continuously draining in the background.
- Apps are always up to date
- I have disabled all things appstore (access to mobile data, auto app updates etc)
- Background refresh is off
- I do have "offload unused apps" on, but can't see if that would contribute
Its really annoying, makes getting into late afternoon impossible. Yesterday (sunday) battery usage was 79% appstore with next highest being whatsapp at 4%.
Surely there must be a log of what apps are contacting appstore (or trying to)? I can't see what the appstore is doing if it cannot even connect using data (given I was not on wifi at a friends house). Or is that the issue? I need to give it mobile access and then it won't go crazy!
