podcast fast forward slide bar on lock screen

Does anyone know how to remove the fast forward/rewind slide bar from the Lock Screen?

I feel like it didn’t used to be there and I accidentally fast forward or rewind a lot when putting my phone in my pocket or something. It’s too easy to move it around and I really don’t need to slide to fast forward from the actual Lock Screen.

That’s not helpful at all. It’s not a widget issue. When listening to a podcast/music/book it automatically shows up on the Lock Screen. I constantly accidentally fast forward through things when I’m taking my phone out or trying to swipe up to unlock. It’s an awful feature and so frustrating. There should not be such accidental easy access to the scrub bar.

I've been having this same issue for months and I hate it. You don't even have to touch the progress bar to cause it to rewind or fast forward. I think that's what the issue is. I'm pretty sure you had to actually touch the bar and move it forward or back prior. Now you can move your finger up or down and accidently do it. Please fix it.

  1. Touch and hold the Lock Screen until the Customize button appears at the bottom of the screen, then tap Customize.
  2. Tap the box below the time to add widgets to your Lock Screen.
  3. A custom Lock Screen in the process of being created. Elements available for customization are selected—the date, the time, and a button for adding widgets.
  4. Tap or drag the widgets you want to add.
  5. If there’s not enough room for a new widget, you can tap the Remove Widget button to remove a widget and make room for a new one.
  6. Note: You can also add widgets in the date box by tapping the date above the time.

Tip: On iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, you can set your Lock Screen to stay on so you can glance at it at any time to check the date, time, and information in your widgets. See Keep your Lock Screen visible with Always On Display.
