Can macOS Automatically Switch Audio Output Based on the Monitor in Use?

Hello,

I'm currently using a Mac Pro 2013 model (Mac OS 11.7.7) with three monitors connected, specifically the LG 34UM95. To simplify the communication, let's refer to these three monitors as Monitor A, Monitor B, and Monitor C respectively. Each of these monitors is equipped with its own built-in speakers.

I'm wondering if it's possible for macOS to automatically switch audio outputs based on the monitor in use. For instance, if I'm watching a video on Safari and move the Safari window to Monitor A, the audio output would automatically switch to the speakers of Monitor A. Similarly, if I moved the Safari window to Monitor B or C, the audio would then come out of the corresponding monitor's speakers.

If this functionality exists, could you kindly guide me on how to set this up? Moreover, would it be possible to have the same configuration for other applications as well?

I appreciate any help or suggestions you can provide.

Thank you.

Based on my experience, the default output will be the same if you connect with an external monitor, except if you connect with an external speaker or headphones, it will change automatically

and for output, it will be consistent with 1 output device by default, as I'm aware Apple didn't support multiple sources automatically based on software currently active
