Battery charge plunges after watchOS 9.5

I have an apple watch 7 SE, same problem.. after updating to OS 9.5.1 the battery started dying in less than 7 hours..

I have a series 8 and my battery doesn't last more than a work day.

I think it’s WatchOS 9.5 problem. I’m using Watch Ultra, typically battery lasts 2-3 days, after software update, battery drains in 1 day. I just did restart, unpair and hopefully it will help.

A quick update to this thread: I have unpaired the Watch Ultra, reset and restarted many times unfortunately, and then paired it back, battery works great again as usual.

i have watch 6 and after updating to watch is 9.5.1 battery drain in less than 12 hours. Earlier it gave me full 24 hours!! Any temp fixes until permanent fix is released?

Thanks! This finally worked for me also! Ugh, such a pain. They need to do better testing. We shouldn’t be required to completely un-pair and restart from scratch for an update.

I am keen to know where I can get WebOS, I have never heard of this.

I'm having the same issue. Prior to the 9.5 upgrade I would get ~16 hrs on a single charge, now since I upgraded to 9.5 I can't even make it 12 hrs without the battery dying.

On my Apple Watch Utra, since the update to 9.5.2, the battery life has been cut in half! Battery health still shows at 100% but I have gone from 2 days to only 1 day between charges. Angry!
