How do you enable effects on camera? The little star icon.

How do enable effects on the normal camera app on an iPhone? The little star icon which you can press to access effects. It used to pop on my screen for only videos, but now it’s gone.

ios 18 screen recording ( symbols on top of the screen ) there are a couple of things to improve in ios 18 screen recording in ios 17 no problem, but after upgrading to ios 18, yellow-circled symbols on top of the screen appear after screen recording, which is very annoying. i want screen recording without those symbols. ( in ios 17 no problem ) second problem is, there is no speed option for slideshow in photos app, pictures sliding way too fast, i want those options back as they were in ios 17.
