Microsoft 365 or Office 2019/2021 for Mac would be compatible if they were already installed on Catalina prior to Microsoft discontinuing support for Catalina in Fall 2022. There would be no further product updates, and new installations of the previously mentioned products would fail now on Catalina.

As BDAqua mentioned, there is the free LibreOffice Suite. It is an MS Office clone and has reasonably good compatibility with MS Office documents. There is, however, a learning curve, which the Document Foundation attempts to improve by providing detailed PDF documentation. Beginning in August 2023, one will need Catalina or later for any LibreOffice updates.

A more contemporary approach to an MS Office clone is Softmaker's Office 2021 for Mac, and its forthcoming (in beta now) Office 2024 for Mac products with a free trial, and single, or subscription purchase plans. It uses Microsoft .docx/.xlsx/.pptx document formats as its native formats (without translation) and while Office 2021 for Mac supports Mojave thru Ventura, the Office 2024 product will support Catalina onwards. I have their Office 2024 beta installed on Ventura 13.4.
