Your Password is needed to enable touch ID

Anyone know how I can bypass this? Don't want to have to type a password - Have a client with a physical disability, so typing a password takes forever (even using the fingerprint scanner can take a while)


Windows has Windows Hello via camera - assume we cant do similar on a new Macbook?

it requires a special camera like ipad pro and iphones has to work

same deal with windows hallo enabled cams


currently no macs support that


you can suggest they begin including it in their macbook and imac lines using

The Automatic Login as per Apple may allow bypassing the Required Typing of Password on a Startup

From a Security of computer stand point - I would not use this method


It could leave all the data and sensitive personal data a risk


Though, if FileVault is enabled on this computer, Automatic Login will not work

You might still need to enter your password when your Mac wakes from sleep or stops using the screen saver. You can change this behavior using the “Require password” screen saver setting located in Lock Screen settings (macOS Ventura or later) or Security & Privacy preferences (earlier macOS versions).
