FCP 10.6.6 is available for update

Yes, already installed that pro video format 2.2.5 still not working, but I think is Ventura update bug instead.

I think it's quite good.

A quick test with Removal Mask Tool: I recorded myself against an empty wall, and it did a pretty good job.

I will have to try some more difficult ones.

I'm the only one after updating to FCPX 10.6.6 my footage from ⍺7S iii in 120 fps is not playing or visible on my timeline not even in the library just playing audio with a black screen other fps like 24 or 30 are playable. Why?

I do not back up apps. And with the App store, you cannot download and back them up either. Apple just loves to screw people up to show that they know more than the users. They did it in 2010 when they released FCPX and they just did it yesterday with 10.6.6.

I did a test with a rather fussy background not expecting it to be very good.

Well it wasn't very good but it was quite reasonable considering the location.

The playback on my 2017 iMac is not perfectly smooth until it is rendered.

What is the playback like on your MBP or the M2 you have access to?

As mentioned, mine is a bit jittery until it has been rendered and rendering takes me about 6 times the length of the clip.

It's all a cunning marketing strategy by Apple to get us to upgrade our Macs. 😈

Mine is obviously dropping a few frames. A more accurate test has revealed that it takes me exactly 5x to render.

It shows how far equipment has come when we begin to expect a perfect key from a reasonably normally shot video . . . a few years ago it would have been impossible magic.

LIMITER bug:

GAIN on the Limiter effect, applied prior to update, is now reverted to -18.4dB (or similar). Instead of +12.0 dB.

Please fix this on the next update. All my libraries are affected by this. I have to manually delete the effect and apply it back with the right value...

I am using the native LIMITER found in the effects library of FCPX.

Wow the FCP dev team has been busy! Awesome! The fix for multicam clips going black is welcome.

Now, how many of your plugins don't work?

I'm not impressed, and still counting how man plugins I rely on don't work now.

Audio levels have gone very quiet in this update, Have put all to max to get a decent level. Time line gain now at 12dB and gain in limiter to 20dB.
