Can I set a passcode for the power off button?

Every day my teacher hears a sound from my phone when I forget to silent it, I want her away from my darn phone (iPhone 12) she’s annoying as **** and I don’t want her crusty looking hands on my phone, so I want to add some privacy to my power off button. Please help me obtain privacy from my crazy teacher..

Lots of options…

  • Set and then tape over the mute button. Leave it that way.
  • Or ask the teacher to place a large sign in the classroom encouraging every other student to confirm that your iPhone is now on mute. Colorful wording optional.
  • Or create and use a location-based reminder, when arriving at the school.
  • Or when leaving your residence.
  • Or suggest that the teacher collect money for a charity for each transgression.
  • Or maybe use a time-based Focus. (More)

You don't there is no option for that. If you don't want your phone taken away, put it on vibrate and put it away.

i put in in a bucket but she always powers off all the phones, and I have tabs with progress I don’t wanna lose so I need like a security thing for power off on my phone..

You don't need tab with progress while you're in class, you're there to learn. Why not listen to your teacher put the phone on vibrate, and put it in your bag or pocket.

there is nothing you can do to put a passcode on your phone to shut it down.
