Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

Thank you Axel, I restarted the phone but it didn’t work so, I had to reset the phone entirely by doing what you’re suggesting above but without releasing the side button until I plugged the phone to my laptop with iTunes up, and I saw the “plug in phone” sign on the screen once doing that, iTunes asked me if I wanted to restore/reset the iPhone and I said yes. Now because my laptop’s disk was almost full I had to delete many files and apps so I could “extract the iPhones software to restore.

I had the same issue with my Lock Screen. It didn’t recognize my finger to the touch ( it seemed). Thanks for the advice! I quickly held and released the ⬆️ volume button then the same with the ⬇️ volume button

then press and HOLD the side button down until the (turn off phone ) appears and continue to HOLD the same side button ( may take up to 20 seconds) and then my phone turned off by itself .

i left it off for a few moments and then my phone turned back on and it be problem was fixed :)
