Final Cut Pro crashes when I press the "delete" key

Hi

I have been having a lot of difficulty while organising my footage in FCP. I use "delete" key to reject the clips which are not required but pressing that key leads to FCP crashing. It doesn't happen always but it happens too often to break the flow; minimum 2 times in every 5-7 mins it crashes. I need help. It really breaks the flow of my work.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.3

You have cleanmymac. This is utter GARBAGE.

Completely uninstall it following their instructions.

You have the WD software. Third party drive manufacturer software is not needed and could cause problems.

And you have... Chrome. This is poison to FCP and other professional applications, particularly due to its "keystone" helpers. They are ostensibly meant to keep it up to date but hog the system videotoolbox causing crashes and other problems.

See https://chromeisbad.com for an explanation and for how to remove.

Then you will need to delete FCP and download a new copy. NOTE: this will get you the current version, 10.6.6.
