I do not have apple care on my phone so I know I will have to pay out of pocket for it. If take it up there and they says it can’t be fixed what would be my options will they let me do it as a trade in and pay the different or make me get a whole new phone

Getting a New iPhone Screen:
They or may not charge you. It depends on the damage. If the screen is damaged, then it will cost quite a bit to fix. I would also consider taking it to an AASP (Apple Authorizes Service Provider), seeing what they offer for fees.
