Hey there Juicy1962,

These are the steps to take for adjusting the volume of your iPhone from your Apple Watch: Use Now Playing on Apple Watch If those are the steps you're already trying, we'd like to help by ruling out some possible causes, along with learning more about what's happening:

  1. What exactly occurs when you do try adjusting the volume for your iPhone from your watch? The more details you provide, the better we'll understand what's happening.
  2. You mentioned updating your watch recently, but the latest version for your model is watchOS 9.5. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to update: Update your Apple Watch
  3. If you're using a compatible iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 16.5. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone or iPad

Cheers!
