Facebook Messenger Links Not Opening on IPad Air

Correct. My daughter, though, has 17 but the problem still exists. And my 5th generation isn’t one of those that will be able to get it in the future. There are loads that won’t be able to get it. But as it hasn’t fixed the problem, there’s no way I’m buying a new one

Been following this hoping Apple would see it and do a fix. They must want you to buy a new phone since people use that more than an iPad. It’s not right as I prefer an iPad and this problem should be fixed. Very aggravating. I have to resort to screen shots or sending the links through I Message and that doesn’t always work. Why does no one at apple respond to this? Are they really this oblivious?

I’m afraid this hasn’t helped me. I can’t open any links and haven’t been able to for months. Works perfectly fine on my apple phone but not iPad. Very frustrating. I went to Apple about it but virtually got told it’s not their problem. Wish someone could fix it.

Having the same issue, can’t open the links. Reconsidering my purchase of new iPad and iPhone, everytime they, upgrade the IOS it’s another issue. Now the batteries are catching on fire in the new ones. Hmmmm…

Very frustrating, I logged out of Facebook & I could view messenger too. Apple should have a fix for this (must be a bug in a newer update).

Same issue for me, except that messenger seems to hang once the small FB window displays..

I have an iPad 9th gen and the links work just fine. My wife has the recent mini and the links do not work on her mini, but they do on her iPhone SE. Go figure. Apple needs to fix this.

I also find that people can’t access anything that I share from FB in Messenger, grrrrrr

I went to the Apple Store to get some info. I got a shrug of the shoulders and an offer to by a newer gen iPad.

Only just got 16.7 here in australia. Wonder when 17 will get here. Or if it even will.

What 17? We’re still on 16.7.1!

And then they want you to shell out $1500 for an iPhone 15… slave labour on a puny PCB…it’s rape plain and simple. And we’re painted into a corner.

Thanks! This one works. It’s weird though. I guess we just have to wait for the next update and hope Apple corrects the issue.
