Going to get a new iPhone from Verizon because they are offering a huge discount that can't get at Apple. When I purchase the new phone, can I then buy Apple Care from the Apple Store?

When it comes to selling Apple products, a load of retailers only permit the purchase of AppleCare, rather than selling a protection plan of their own.
