There are several steps you can follow to stop your iPhone 13 from lagging:
1. Restart your iPhone: Press and hold the Side button along with the Volume button until the power-off slider appears. Drag the slider, and then turn the iPhone back on by pressing and holding the Side button.
2. Update iOS: Make sure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
3. Close unused apps: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold to open the App Switcher, then swipe left or right to find the app(s) you want to close. Swipe up on the app preview(s) to close the app(s).
4. Clear app cache: Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data, or delete and reinstall apps that are lagging or freezing.
5. Disable background app refresh: Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh to disable apps from refreshing in the background.
6. Limit visual effects: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Reduce Motion to limit animations and visual effects.
7. Free up storage space: Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage to see which apps and files are taking up space. Delete or offload unnecessary apps and files.
8. Reset settings: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings to revert all settings to their defaults. Note that this will not erase any personal data, but you will have to reconfigure your settings, including Wi-Fi connections and app permissions.
9. Check battery health: Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health to check if your battery's performance is affecting your iPhone's performance. If your battery is degraded, consider getting it replaced.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, consider reaching out to Apple Support, visiting an Apple Store, or an authorized service provider for further assistance. You can also access Apple Support by selecting the "Support" link on the lower left-hand side of this forum's web page.
