My iPhone 13 Pro not being charged by Magsafe

Hi, for a while now my iPhone 13 Pro has not been charging with any of my Apple Magsafe devices: Charger, Duo Charger and Battery Pack (these work fine with other iPhones). The problem started a while ago erratically, but I was getting it to work with an iPhone reset. But this no longer works.

Any suggestions?

PS: I just updated the firmware on all Magsafe devices via my Mac (I did not see any change)

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

(2)  If the above does not resolve the issue, then - That sounds like a MagSafe charging hardware issue with your iPhone 13 Pro.

(3)  I recommend that you contact 👉 Official Apple Support OR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and a resolution.

There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue with your iPhone 13 Pro not charging with your Apple Magsafe devices:

1. Clean the charging port: Sometimes, debris or dirt can get into the charging port and prevent a proper connection between your phone and the charger. Take a clean, dry toothbrush or a delicate brush and gently clean the charging port on your iPhone 13 Pro.

2. Check for any blockages: If the charging port looks clean, check for blockages that might be preventing the charger from making a good connection. Look for any lint or foreign objects in the port. You can use a small object like a toothpick or a wooden skewer to gently remove anything blocking the charging port.

3. Try a different cable: If the above steps do not work, try using a different Magsafe cable to charge your iPhone. It's possible that the cable you're using is damaged or faulty.

4. Check for any software updates: Make sure your iPhone has the latest version of iOS installed. Sometimes, software bugs or glitches can prevent charging. To check for updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

5. Contact Apple Support: If none of the above steps works, it may be best to contact Apple Support for further assistance. They can help diagnose the issue and may suggest a repair or replacement. You can also contact Apple Support directly by selecting the "Support" link on the bottom left-hand side of this forum's web page.

Hello!

Finally the wireless connection issue with my iPhone has been solved. During a trip to Spain I had my iPhone examined at an official Apple Service Center. They performed all the battery diagnostics and told me that they had not found any hardware problems.

Since that complete examination, about 3 weeks ago, the problem has not happened again being that I have charged through a new Belkin Magsafe compatible battery.

Thank you!
