The left side switches off after a short period whilst the right side still has almost 80% charge left. Have reset, disconnected/reconnected, forget/re-registered etc. but the problem persists. Has anyone found a fix or is this a battery fail?

yeah, that's inevitable perhaps. but this sounds more like a firmware issue than a battery component fail. I was wondering if anyone had come across a fix without replacing the battery?
Ps. if i place the left bud back in the charger for a few minutes it is up and running again (saying it's 100%). only to drain down again in about an hour.
