As we know the dynamic island on the 14 series displays useful content and shortcuts to ongoing functions on the iPhone. Usually during a WhatsApp call it displays the length of the call and the microphone. Recently I have noticed that it has stopped displaying it. And I can no longer access the shortcut to the call from the island

It's possible, they just need to update their app after the most recent update, but to be sure, you'll need to contact them directly for help with their product.
It's not just WhatsApp, had a few calls on MS Teams and same deal, shortcut on dynamic island was not available during a call but all calls gets registered inside Phone app.
Hi kxng_ly, it seems as though WhatsApp may have revoked the support for ongoing call time display on the dynamic island it could also be related to the most recent IOS 16.5 update.
By chance are you experienced the same issue?
No sorry I don’t use an iPhone 14 pro.
My phone has the exact same issue, It happened after I updated to IOS 16.5.
I’m facing this issue too. Idk what happened it was working until about a week ago. I’m on a call right now on WhatsApp (group call) and i see this (image attached) not the usual waveform thing
