Why are a huge number of audio effects missing on the latest FCPX update 10.6.6?

Anyone out there got any idea why many of the audio effects that have been a mainstay on FCPX for years now; Brightness, Fat EQ, etc. etc. are missing on the new 10.6.6 version? FCPX is all but unusable now for anyone who takes audio processing seriously. I see newer versions of some audio tools, but vastly simplified; the Car Radio effect for example used to offer a drop down menu with a number of choices, but now it's just a percentage slider. The Telephone effect similarly is missing. Fat EQ is missing entirely, which is an absolute necessity to most professional video editors. Brightness and Mud Removal can both get you out of a pinch when processing audio too; both missing.

Adam this is not your imagination. I haven't had to edit anything for a few days so I updated the app over the weekend and wehn I opened up the current project Im working in - a project which was using both "Fat EQ" and "Voice EQ" - both of which are Logic Audio plugins into FPCX and were available and working perfectly fine 2 days ago, now they are just gone. And because I'm on deadline, I have to essentially just doing new audio cause I don't have time to downgrade FCPX or wait for a fix.

You know - lets take a feature away that was legit working perfectly fine previously - makes complete sense.

Yes, Apple has discontinued many AU plugins. Some have been revamped (Voice Enhancement is not Voice Enhancement 2). None of this was mentioned in the release notes, but it is a reality. Nothing wrong with your system, Apple simply decided to discontinue them without notice, as they often do. Makes things quite unreliable.
