Because Apple has taken steps to mask your identity from mundane tracking efforts, and Facebook—one of the most all-encompassing and intrusive tracking entities operating on the network—would prefer to avoid spooking you by not better identifying you, your device, your location, the color of the clothes you are wearing, and what you ate last. (Yeah, only half joking, there. Facebook tracks a whole lot. If they wanted to better identify you and yours, I expect they could.)

Because Facebook is unable to properly identify your device, browser or operating system.
