My caps lock works, but the LED light is always off
How do I fix this on my Mac?
I tried tap, double tap, I tried restarting my Mac. Nothing works. Thanks
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.2

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
I just tried safe mode and used another user account. It turned out that this is a universal issue.
The caps lock function still works when toggled on any account, but the LED light is still off.
Verify Full Keyboard Access is off...
>System Settings>Accessibility >Keyboard>Full Keyboard Access>OFF
ref: Navigate your Mac using Full Keyboard Access - Apple Support
I would try toggling/restore defaults keyboard modifier settings:
>System Settings>Keyboard>Keyboard Shortcuts>Modifier Keys Restore Defaults
Keyboard is controlled by NVRAM (Intel) you can see this from the Terminal.app, copy and paste:
ioreg -p IOUSB
Typically test results: 'universal issues" points to a hardware... as attempt to rule out all software you can try
resetting NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NVRAM Reset)
I suspect it is a hardware issue—you can make an appointment to get it resolved:
Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

To trouble shoot further you can:
—A SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies. Log in and test.
a reboot will put it back to normal mode.
This test will tell you if third party interference; most* extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.
—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support
This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.
FWIW, if you have an Intel MBA, you can try resetting the SMC.
