Apple Cash Gone-Signed out of Apple ID and then signed back in about an hour later to find that my Apple Cash was gone.

Apple Cash Gone-Signed out of Apple ID and then signed back in about an hour later to find that my Apple Cash was gone.

Is this normal and can I somehow retrieve the funds back? A prompt did appear asking Merge or Don't Merge and I chose Merge. Not sure that that even means, but can I get it restored and did I do something to cause this or this the consequence of signing out and then signing in?

Generally not a good idea to sign out of your Apple ID on your device as other security measures kick in (like removing wallet, cash, etc.). Go to settings > wallet and Apple Pay > Apple Cash and see if there is an account balance listed. You can also contact Apple support at the same location.
