I recently had my iwatch stolen. About an hour later, I started receiving this message for the first time. It now pops up regularly on my phone. My assumption is that this is connected and I took care not pressed “accept” for fear that this may somehow link to my iCloud. This may be an overreaction.

It is quite disconcerting- the message pops up for about 5 seconds at any random time often while I am using the phone and on a call.

"SIM sent a Text message", logically you should contact your Carrier.

Did you try to activate Carrier Settings?

Did you try to Activate iMessage/FaceTime?

It may have to do with your Carrier ( service provider). This can pop up when some carrier settings are updated and that your SIM card requires an update which either done or being done.

Do tap on Accept.
