Your SIM sent a text message

I have got a new iPhone 11 and since the starting I am getting the flash message that blocks the phone operation and is too irritating. I have tried all options by restarting the phone, reinserting the SIM, resetting the Network Settings etc but still no luck.

Your iPhone displays that “Your SIM sent a text message.” and you don’t know why. When this happens, there’s usually an issue between your iPhone and your wireless carrier.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps one at a time-

1) Force Restart the phone:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF)

2) Reset Network Settings:

  • Open Settings ➔ General ➔ Reset ➔ Reset Network Settings - (This will require you to enter all WiFi passwords again as you connect to previously known WiFi networks.)

3) Please call your Carrier and explain your concern and see whether they can reset your account.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the quick response. I have tried with all options available on internet along with the ones you have mentioned in your reply. I tried using a different SIM from same operator, I didn’t face this issue. The problem here seems to be with my SIM only. But the point is how it was working on my iphone8 without any such issues with the same SIM/operator ? I have just upgraded the phone after I moved to a different state (national roaming). Do you think it would be resolved once I move back to home network (HLR)?

thanks

Smarjit

Thanks
