Potter.... Jk hiya dood :D

If your iPhone's silent mode is turning on and off by itself without your input, it could be due to a few possible reasons:

  • Physical button issue: Check if the physical silent switch on the side of your iPhone is loose or damaged. Sometimes, a faulty switch can cause it to toggle between silent and ring modes unintentionally. Try moving the switch back and forth a few times to see if it feels loose or if it triggers the mode change without much effort. If you suspect a hardware issue, consider contacting Apple Support or visiting an authorized service center for further assistance.
  • Software glitch: Occasionally, software glitches or bugs can cause unexpected behavior on your iPhone. To rule out this possibility, try restarting your iPhone by pressing and holding the power button (or the power button and volume button together) until the power off slider appears. Slide it to power off, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help refresh the software and resolve temporary issues.
  • Third-party apps or settings: Certain apps or settings on your iPhone could be triggering the silent mode toggle. Review any recently installed or updated apps that might have permissions related to notifications or sound settings. Consider disabling notifications for those specific apps temporarily to see if it resolves the issue. Additionally, check your Do Not Disturb settings to ensure they are not causing the automatic mode changes.
  • iOS update: Ensure that your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Apple frequently releases updates that address various software issues and bugs. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for any available updates and install them if necessary.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it's recommended to reach out to Apple Support for further assistance. They can provide more specific troubleshooting steps or advise on any known issues related to the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iOS 16.
