iPhone stuck in a boot loop

So I came home last night and my iPhone was working fine, I put it on charge and started playing some video games after a while I noticed it was stuck booting up, I tried literally everything, but nothing works. Yesterday I've gotten its charging jack cleaned up. I think that caused the problem or idk it can be a software issue too.

Two basic troubleshooting steps to perform (test after each attempt):

A) Try a "forced" restart of your device using these instructions: Put it on charge for at least half an hour, then, keeping it plugged in, use these gestures:

Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 10-20 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear, the one with the "slider" to turn the device off included).

B) If you can, check your battery status in Settings>Battery>Battery Health & Charging>Maximum capacity. If it is close to 83-80%, have it replaced as soon as possible, since it might have unpredictable behavior.

If the issue still persists, it might be a hardware (battery? digitizer? other internal component?) failure, and I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

Also can’t restore from iTunes or anything because literally before I downloaded the new iOS I tried to backup my phone to iCloud and it just wouldn’t let me. I was running into errors and it just was not loading

it old me eventually my iCloud storage was full so I deleted everything on iCloud and tried to do a backup and it just wouldn’t let me.

it disabled the option to backup.

the only fix I can think of is to install an older version of iOS, which can’t be done

and still I would lose all of my data

I had this problem on my iPhone 6 I now have the same problem with my iPhone 12 Pro Max . It’ll be really slow at times, I’ll already have setting enabled on an app, and then one day I launch it and it will harass me to turn on a setting which just straight up doesn’t exist in the settings app, the search functions (on the settings app and just the Home Screen search) will just straight up not work. Its gotten stuck on a boot loop multiple times. Sometimes Itll turn on and the touch screen will just not work. I’m certain at this point it’s a software issue and over a year after the original post there’s still no fix. And don’t get me started on the hoops I had to jump through just to make this comment on my old smashed up iPhone X

thanks apple 👍🏼

My iPhone XS is also in a bootloop iOS 16. I’ve tried to fix it by restoring and updating with my Macbook Air M1. It seems like it most likely got water damaged or the iPhone crashed. Try going to apple or go to another store. Maybe just hard reset it.

Water-Inundation Boot Loop:

If inundated with water, then it is a hardware failure, and nothing of the iOS. So, no, performing a backup and restore is not a method of fixing this.

Backup Prior to the Update:

Whatever the device, take this as a lesson knowing always create a backup of it, that way you can have something to restore it from, should anything go wrong with update install.
