Hotspot kicks one client when another one connects since updating to iOS 16

When will Apple correct the IOS 16 bug in their DHCP server code which in Hotspot mode, causes a first client to get kicked off when a second client connects. The Hotspot needs to be cycled OFF/ON before first client can reconnect. Apple...HELP !!!

With more people worldwide using Iphone Hotspot for internet access over 4G/5G network, this DHCP sever bug in IOS is very frustrating. Anyone else seen this bug?

I've done some more testing and I still think the iPhone SE (2020) Hotspot DHCP running latest IOS 16.5 has some problems.

With first wifi client device connected (in my case our houshold router with extra wifi client NIC), when a second wifi client connects, the first wifi client gets disconnected and it cannot reconnect until the hotspot is cycled OFF/ON...then everything functions normally again!

I suspect it's a DHCP problem which is not allocating (or reallocating) IP addresses correctly.

Apple...HELP !

I have our household wifi router, with an extra wifi NIC configured as a client, connecting to the iphone hotspot.

When this first client (the extra wifi NIC) gets kicked off the hotspot, once a second client connects to the hotspot, if I cycle the iphone hotspot OFF/ON, everything reconnects and functions correctly.

I don't know if the household router with the extra wifi NIC client is what is upsetting the iphone hotspot dhcp.

I'm suspecting that the iphone dhcp is not allocating the IP addresses correctly, even though it's only allocating 2 IP addresses.
