Apple 14 Pro Max 256Gig IOS 16.5 Blue tooth stays on searching

My new iphone 14 Pro max purchased on 05-28-2023 keeps trying to search for devices. Also it won't sync with my 2018 ford escape. I had a apple iphone 8 which am starting to regret getting rid of. I like the the pro max but car sync is important for me.

Reset Network Settings: Only network settings are removed.

  • When you reset network settings, previously used networks and VPN settings that weren’t installed by a configuration profile or mobile device management (MDM) are removed. Wi-Fi is turned off and then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re on. The Wi-Fi and Ask to Join Networks settings remain turned on.
  • To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management, select the configuration profile, then tap Remove Profile. This also removes other settings and accounts provided by the profile. See Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone in this guide.
  • To remove network settings installed by MDM, go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management, select the management, then tap Remove Management. This also removes other settings and certificates provided by MDM. See “Mobile device management (MDM)” in the iOS Deployment Reference.
  • Reset your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

If the above fails...

Reset All Settings: All settings—including network settings, the keyboard dictionary, the Home screen layout, location settings, privacy settings, and Apple Pay cards—are removed or reset to their defaults. No data or media are deleted.

  1. Reset All Settings: Return iPhone settings to their defaults - Apple Support:- Return iPhone settings to their defaults
  2. You can return settings to their defaults without erasing your content.
  3. If you want to save your settings, back up your iPhone before returning them to their defaults. For example, if you’re trying to solve a problem but returning settings to their defaults doesn’t help, you might want to restore your previous settings from a backup.

When you open Settings/Bluetooth it will search to find other BT devices. Always. Settings/Bluetooth turns on Discoverable mode. All iPhones have always done this. It will stop searching when you close Settings or back out of Bluetooth.

To sync to the car go to Settings/Bluetooth on the phone, then put the car in Pairing mode (see the car instruction manual). The two should see each other within 15 seconds. Follow the car’s pairing instructions, or tap on the car when it appears in the list of discoverable devices in Settings/Bluetooth and enter any codes displayed on the car’s display.

Well, if you already tried (to no avail) all the steps provided in the support articles we posted, since your iPhone is brand new and still covered by warranty, I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

Giulio

My phone shows Prepare for new iphone Get started. at the bottom is reset and Erase All Content and settings.

I am a little scared to do this. Which of the two should I do. Not sure why it shows Prepare for new iphone, unless the at&t store did not set up the phone right.
