Yesterday I saved a bunch of new places to my map favorites. And I had quite a few saved from prior using of the app. Today I go to map and all my pins are gone. My work pin is gone. My home pin is gone. Everything is just wack.

I know this is an old post but I found out if you pin certain items and then put your map settings to only use downloaded maps, the pins disappears. Weird thing is, not all will. Even thou those pinned items are in the downloaded maps, they still disappear. So not sure why some disappear and some do not. So if you are using offline maps, turn this setting off and see if the pinned locations come back.
Currently, the Favorites on Maps get cleared out every time the phone reboots. I've tested this on my 14 Pro (ios 16.5.1 (c)), and a friend's 12 Pro (ios 16.5.1 (c)). On both phones, the iCloud toggle for Maps are set to enabled.
My other friend's 11 (ios 16.1.1) works properly.
This has been going on for months now on my 14 Pro, currently running 16.5.1. EVERY SINGLE WEEK or so I have to re-enter a dozen or so addresses. This is so ridiculous; if I wanted software that works like this, I’d switch to Android.
I’m going back to Google Maps until Apple announces a fix.
why can’t Apple solve this simplest thing?It’s completely unacceptable and the product owner of Apple Map should be fired.
what kind of map product owner has the mind that consumer can’t save their favorites addresses and loses it favorite addresses all the time? How many years is Apple Map on the market now, but yet this simplest feature still not implemented correctly.
What is Apple Map’s product priority?
This did not help me either. All my favorites were there yesterday and are gone today. Nothing I have done has changed
This has also happened to me over the last several weeks. I started using Apple Maps a lot more recently. I actually started liking many of the features and overall user experience more than google maps.
This bug is a bit annoying however.
unfortunately this did not help trigger anything to come back. I don’t recall if I had my maps app saving on iCloud beforehand either. Just woke up this morning to all my favorites gone.
This fix did not work for me either. 🙁

I have a 12 Pro max and a 11 as a work phone. My favorites disappeared on both devices and I have iCloud enabled for both of them. This has happened multiple times to me.
This isn’t accurate. I’ve rebooted my phone numerous times and haven’t lost favorites. Just lost 1 one mine and now it deletes every time I add it.
