I am able to login to apple ID on other devices however Macbook does not accept the password anymore. I tried creating new keychain, did not work. Also not working in Safemode. Tried connecting from different network, no change. I am not able to signout of the appleid as it is again asking for apple id password (find my mac is on). Appreciate if you can help, thanks.

It also happend to me. At first I thought it was due to a virus, but then discovered that the right shift key was clogged. Therefore all letters were by this mistake capital letters. Cleaned around the shift-key and then the problem was solved!

have you set up two factor authentication on the Mac you are using to sign in? if yes, try the Mac's administrator password when prompted for the password to login to your Apple ID.
Unfortunately Mac admin pw did not work too.
