Deleted Apple Clock and Apple Notes -- iPhone 13 iOS 16.4.1

While rearranging apps on my Home Screen this morning, my phone auto-created a folder called Productivity and put the Apple Clock and Notes apps in the folder. I don't like folders and didn't want it, so I tried to undo it and ended up deleting the folder, which took the Clock and Notes apps with it.

In the APP Store, I can see both of them, and it gives me the "OPEN" option, but not a redownload option.

I use both apps a lot and want them back. How do I retrieve them. BTW -- the Notes app still shows up in the Settings window, but the Clock does not.

HELP!! thanks

iPhone 13, iOS 16

Hello laurafrompkb!

First, just to get this out of the way, please check if your apps are in the App Library. To check this, please see: Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone - Apple Support.

If the apps are not in the App Library, you can Redownload apps and games from Apple - Apple Support.

Also, from Delete built-in Apple apps from your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch - Apple Support:

Restore a built-in app that you deleted

  1. On your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, go to the App Store.
  2. Search for the app. Make sure that you use the exact name of the app.
  3. Tap the Redownload button .
  4. Wait for the app to restore, then open it from your Home Screen.

If you have Apple Watch, restoring an app to your iPhone also restores that app to your Apple Watch.

I hope this is helpful. Good Luck!
