When typing a text and holding my iphone horizontally, after a few key strokes, it slows way down to a crawl while typing. What can I do to fix this?

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

Press and quickly release Volume UP button
Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

I'm going to try the method you sent me to see if it solves my problem. I'll have to wait until I send a long text with the phone horizontal. Thanks.. I'll let you know the resluts

Well, I thought it was working, but again, it began to slow down while typing horizontally. This problem seems to be intermittent. Don't know where to go from here.
