Apple TV in two rooms

My Apple TV works fine on my TV in my living room. I want to use it on another TV in another room, using the same broadband router signal. When I plug it in to the second room, I get a screen saying I’ve no network connection. There are two boxes displayed: PC and Settings. I cannot navigate to either. It’s frozen But then back in the room where there is no Apple TV box, the Apple screen is up and I can control and watch - even though the box is elsewhere. I’m just so puzzled.
