Air Tags
I am confused, I bought a 4 pack of air tags and now I have discovered that Find My app can only locate the tags when they are with you? really?
the way they work is they don't have gps and the only means of communication they have is bluetooth so maybe a 30 meter range, but what they can do is to if another person (somebody not you) with an iphone and bluetooth enabled is within range the air tag can piggybag on that iphone and send the iphones location to the apple servers where your findmy app can get a location of said air tag
without other iphone with bluetooth enabled then your airtag is dead in the water.
