miranda2741,
Another thing that may impact the options available on your iPhone are restrictions. We'd recommend checking the Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions. If Content & Privacy Restrictions is toggled on, take a moment to toggle it off and then check again.
Bear in mind you'll need to enter your Restrictions passcode to toggle it off. If this was a device that was provided to you, the provider most likely set the passcode and placed the restrictions on the device.
Cheers!

Hi miranda2741,
We'd like to see how we can help out with your iPhone. To clarify, you're tapping Settings > General > Keyboard and when you tap the switch next to "Auto-Correction," it does not turn on. Is that right?
So we can narrow this down, are you seeing this with any other functions in Settings > General > Keyboard?
Also, we recommend checking your keyboard settings by tapping Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards. Which keyboards do you have added there? Have you installed any third-party keyboards? Checking these will help us rule out some possible causes. This has more information on how you can Add or change keyboards on iPhone.
Depending on what you find there, it might also help to cover some basic troubleshooting and restart and update your device. If you have an update available, be sure to back up first. The links below will provide the steps:
Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Cheers.
Thanks for checking miranda2741,
What we'd recommend at this stage is to contact Apple Support. This way they can look into this in greater detail with you and see what's going on.
Take care!
yes under Settings>General>Keyboard the Auto-Correction, Check Spelling, Predictive, and Smart Punctuation are unavailable to be turned on.
under Keyboard>keyboards I only have English (US) and Emoji.
I have tried restarting and my phone is up to date with ios 16.5.
I turned on screen Time and restarted the phone and it's still grayed out. I also tried turning screen time off then back on again and it hasn't changed anything.
