Sorry to hear about your trouble with text message attachments. There are several reasons why you may be unable to open them. Here’s what you can try to resolve this issue:

1. Restart Your iPhone: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix many issues. Try turning off your device and turning it back on.

2. Check Your Internet Connection: If you’re using iMessage, it requires an active internet connection to download attachments. Make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data.

3. Check if You Have Enough Storage: If your iPhone is out of storage, it may have trouble downloading and opening attachments. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage to check.

4. Update Your Device: Make sure your device is updated to the latest iOS version. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

5. Reset Network Settings: If there seems to be a network issue, you can go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note that this will erase all network settings including Wi-Fi passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings.
