Black box in my Safari screen

There is always a black box in my safari screen on the right side. I think it got bigger. How do I get rid of it?

Hello aymansadab,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

First, since this is with your iPad, when you select the right side, do you see any options to slide the screen smaller? We're looking at it and thinking it's just a black image or frozen app in Split Screen, and you can close it using the steps here: Open two items in Split View on iPad - Apple Support

If that isn't it, next, try an update. Make sure you update to iOS 16.5, as a new iOS can clear out issues with the operating system: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

  1. If you still have issues, please verify this is Safari on your iPad.
  2. Does this same thing happen on any other websites or does it only happen on Google?
  3. Do you see something similar in any other apps?
  4. If you open something other than Safari, is the black box no longer there?

This info can help narrow down what may be happening. Cheers!
