I have checked all the sounds settings. Nothing had been changed overnight, but after the 16.5 update ran last night I no longer am informed of texts when my phone is locked. I get informed on my watch, but no audio or vibration on the phone.

Please check that the Silent Mode switch on the left side of your iPhone is off. It should show black, and not red.
Also, please go to: Settings > Focus and make sure there aren’t any Focuses on. You would see the word “On” next to a Focus of it were on.
Lastly, please Force Restart - Apple your iPhone, as that may fix this issue.

Focus is not on, not is silent mode.
I did find that if I took off my watch I get audio notifications on my phone again. Both my phone and watch are updated with the latest updates.
Is there something in the latest watchOS update that takes over control of text notifications? if so, how do I turn that off?
