Soooo in May 2020 I upgraded from a 5se to the pro max 10, then shortly after, had all the issues as mentioned above and more, so then eventually the phone was replaced by the 11 pro max and soo after that, sent this email to Optus about the iphone- as they are my provider…
IPHONE 11 PRO MAX ISSUES
If you remember when I first received the new I-phone 11 Pro Max as replacement for the I-phone Max 10 that was having serious issues, I also said right from the start that I couldn't use the new Iphone 11 as there was something wrong with it and even you Optus techs could not help me....so I took it to the real Apple Store at Southland shopping centre and the only thing that they could do (without a 2 hour wait) was to perform a hard reset and re-install the OS.
Well the new I-phone 11 Pro max has started behaving exactly as the old Iphone 10 did- dropping phone calls; dropping audio even when the call is still connected; not registering the phone calls on my recent call list; the microphone for dictation is not recording properly and the audio sound waves are not in line with my voice, but vibrating like it's having an electrical shock and the camera is playing up too.
When I tap the shutter button on the camera, sometimes it is taking about half a second or more to actually take the photo. Sometimes it takes a photo- even when the camera app has been closed. (I have many photos of the inside of my pockets), many of the photos are blurry from movement- even though I haven't moved.
I have updated the OS, but that has not improved it's performance at all.
This phone is behaving exactly like the Iphone 10 did.
AND NOW, after having the Pro Max 13 for the past 2 years with no issues other than dodgy camera lenses straight out of the box and supposedly fixed (not) with a new screen 2 years ago, I am now having exactly the same issue as above AND it started just a few weeks ago after the automatic OS update!
I also realised today that the common denominator with all 3 iphones- is the headphones.
Obviously all these years I haven’t used the same pair of headphones- infact I have been through quite a few Apple/Belkin wired headphones since, so it’s not the actual headphones because if it was, it would be happening every single day that I’m out and about with them plugged in….
Soooooo since it only started happening after the last OS update a few weeks ago, now I’m serious thinking that it must be something in the update that is causing the firmware for the headphone port to spaz out- doing all of the above and including playing apple music when the app is not even open…..
So what do we think about that?
Does anyone else think that this could be the cause?
