That is simply not repairable. You’re not required to use an Apple OEM cable. I rarely use Apple OEM, and have several “Made for iPhone/iPad” (aka MFi) cables that are licensed by Apple, that I purchased for a fraction of what Apple charges. I don’t particularly like the durability of Apple Lightning cables anyways.

What country? Perhaps someone can suggest a reasonably priced replacement. I’ve purchased a 5-pack of Lightning to USB-A cables for US $5.99 and a 3-pack of 2m Lightning to USB-C cables for US $6.98. All were MFi and work as well as Apple OEM.

I consider Lightning cables to be consumables that will eventually fail, or will be damaged or lost. And they can be reasonably priced with some effort to find less expensive ones.
