How many days will an Apple Store take to repair / replace an unresponsive spacebar on a MacBook Pro 13" that's out of warranty? I will make an appointment. I would like it to be done in 2 or 3 days since I live 150 miles away from the metropolis where the Apple Store is located and my visits there usually last 2 or 3 days.

About 3 years ago it took a little over a week and cost me $592US for a new logic board. The problem is Apple doesn't repair generally, they replace. And a broken internal part may require a whole new board.
I would not think it should take them long. The question is though is the space bar actually having an issue on the control board part of the keyboard or could it be the key cap it self that is the issue. If it is just a broken key cap or something like that now I am no computer pro but I would think they could just take a new space bar cap and just pop off the old one and pop the new one on and off you go. If it has something to do with the control board under all the keys than you may have to have a total keyboard replacement. I had this happen to a Lenovo Laptop I had. I thought it was just a space bar key cap that was broken underneath but there was a problem with the control board under all the keys and I had to get an entire keyboard replacement.
