i can't see grouped bookmarks on my iphone (16.5 and mojave)

i'm getting organized with life's necessities in grouped bookmarks on my mac air running mojave.

i have like fifteen folders with one to five bookmarks each organized to accomplish specific tasks.

when i get to my iphone 14 running 16.3 (i just updated it) i only see single bookmarks and maybe two of the fifteen folders. both folders i the phone are totally empty.

its actually not even close to syncing to my phone. i just checked and i am logged into my icloud account on both devices. any ideas?

THANKS

Please check Settings > Apple ID [Your Name] > iCloud > Safari [Enable]

Also, check if your device is connected to the internet.

Connecting to Wi-Fi is the initial step, followed by establishing an internet connection.

However, it's important to note that connecting to Wi-Fi does not automatically guarantee an internet connection. In the event that you are unable to connect to Wi-Fi, the issue may stem from settings on your iPhone or the router/modem.

On the other hand, if you are unable to establish an internet connection despite being connected to Wi-Fi, the problem is likely related to the settings on your router/modem. In such cases, it is advisable to promptly contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for assistance.

Check your WiFi Router / Modem for --> Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points ...

For your Internet connection.

  • Over Cellular: contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider). The agency that issued the SIM to you
  • Over WiFI: Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the agency that provided the Internet Service on your Modem/Router to you

hi SKA

thanks very much for this.

i checked apple ID > icloud > safari and the radio button is in fact set to On.

regarding wifi i am on cellular access currently (for instance accessing email and web browser etcetera) so there are no issue with my phone connectivity.

i can check my laptop - where i set up the Safari Grouped Tabs - to make sure it has wifi access but since i was setting up Safari Bookmarks while using it it is hard to imagine how i could not have had wifi access while setting up the bookmarks.

can i verify they have made it to the cloud i suppose by checking on iCloud that they are rhere and that was i can isolate the problem to a sync to iOS/phone?
