Volume buttons too sensitive

To quote a similar problem from 2021

"I’m now having the issue that if I hold down the volume button on my phone for just a second too long it will jump super quick up to MAX volume (which is essentially, never what I ever want). I used to be able to control the volume quite well by just holding the buttons down. Now I have to multi-click with step-by-step incremental changes to adjust the volume without it going to max and blowing my ears out.. and it’s also super quick to jump up to max volume if I just click a little too fast / too many times.

Is there a fix for this or is it just a software bug? it’s such a pain."

Quick for some may seem too slow for others.

Thanks I'll submit that

I've been told I'm usually the "too slow" (impatient) category, and the press-and-hold adjustment is too fast for me

When I had an android phone this generally wasn't an issue - except that the pause before the quicker adjustment when holding down the button was too long for me ;)
