There could be several reasons why the volume in your right AirPod is lower than the left. Here are some things to try:

1. Check the stereo balance:

You mentioned that you've checked the balance, but let's double-check to make sure the settings didn't change:

- Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual.

- Slide the 'Balance' slider and make sure it's right in the middle.

2. Clean your AirPods:

Sometimes, debris or earwax can build up in the AirPods, affecting the sound. Here's how you can clean them safely:

- Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

- If any debris is stuck in the speaker meshes, gently brush it away with a clean, dry, soft-bristled brush.

- Don't use any liquids or sharp objects.

3. Test with another device:

Try connecting your AirPods to another device to see if the issue persists. This can help you understand if the problem is with the AirPods themselves or with the device you're currently using.

4. Reset your AirPods:

If none of the above solutions work, you might need to reset your AirPods. You've already done this, but it's worth repeating just in case:

- Put your AirPods in the charging case and close the lid.

- Wait for about 30 seconds, then open the lid.

- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the "i" icon next to your AirPods.

- Tap 'Forget This Device' and confirm your decision.

- With the AirPods case lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds until you see the status light flash amber, then flash white.

- Place your AirPods close to your device and follow the onscreen steps to reconnect your AirPods.

If after trying all these methods your AirPods still have the issue, there might be a hardware problem. In this case, you should contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store for further assistance. As your AirPods are relatively new, they should still be under warranty.
