Got a problem with my Macbook Pro A1706, there's a black horizontal line starting from a small and then getting worse, and it slowly spread now. At first, there is no problem at all. When it suddenly appears. It works all the advice got online is that I need to “shut down and let it cool down” but when I use it again, it comes back. Please advise what to do. I need this MacBook for my work.

If the defect CAN be captured in a screen shot, it is a graphics chip problem, and mainboard would be replaced to fix.
If the defect can NOT be captured in a screen shot, it is a Display-only issue, and using an external display or replacing the display module alone should fix it.
Sounds like a graphics card failure to me. have Apple do a hands on evaluation.
Nope. You've described classic scene failure as far as I'm concerned and you should have Apple look at it.
You can reinstall your OS and see if that helps, but that's your call.
Others may have differing opinions. Why are you so resistant to have Apple test it? It's a free service.
Also tried this, like having a screenshot, and then in the screenshot black horizontal line won't display there.
Hmmm, I don't think so since it happened when I used my MacBook for long periods of hours on consecutive days because of overloaded work. Can you advise more?

Yeah. It sounded this true. But as what I had searched on. Maybe because of overheating since I'm using it for long hours consecutive.
Its not that I'm resisting but I only explaining what happen to my Macbook. Thanks for your advice though. 😊
