I’m in a chat group with coworkers. There is a mix of iPhone and android users. How do I remove myself from this group? My research says it’s impossible.

You will need to request that the other members of the chat create a new chat without you in it.
You can also mute the chat. From the main screen of Messages, find the chat. Put your finger on it and pull to the left. Tap the purple icon with a bell with a slash through it.

I was already aware of these options, but thank you for the reply. What is needed is the option to “remove” or “leave” a chat group regardless if there are iPhones and androids in the group.
