iPhone 13 page orientation lock gone

Somehow the widget for page lock orientation is gone from phone. Screen won’t rotate anymore. How do I find to reinstall?

The orientation lock widget is not a widget, it is a control in Control Center. To add it to Control Center, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on "Control Center".
  3. Under "More Controls", tap on the "+" button next to "Orientation Lock".
  4. The Orientation Lock control will now be added to Control Center.

To use the Orientation Lock control, swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open Control Center. Tap on the Orientation Lock control to lock the screen in its current orientation.

If the Orientation Lock control is still missing from Control Center, make sure that you have not turned off Switch Control. To check, open the Settings app and tap on "Accessibility". Then tap on "Switch Control". Make sure that the switch next to "Use Side Switch to" is set to "Off".

If you are still having problems, you can contact Apple Support for help.

First, force-restart your phone and see if that fixes it:

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME UP

     then

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN

     then

  • Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky.

=====================================

If that doesn’t fix the problem can you post a screen shot of your control center?

The Orientation Lock button is permanently on the Control Center; it cannot be added or removed, and does not appear in Settings/Control Center.

I suggest you take a look, and also don’t post suggestions that you haven’t verified.
