Apple Pencil Skipping?

After the update of my iPad to iOS 16.5, my Apple Pencil has been skipping A LOT lately. Has anyone else had this problem? Just trying to use deductive reasoning to see whether I have an issue to with my iPad for repair or is this a bug with the new update.

The pencil is connected, I can see it in the Bluetooth devices, and I can see the battery but there no reaction on the screen.
